    Great article.....

    Saw the article today....

Spoke with Rich Hoppe this afternoon....he was glad to see the tribute to the king.....

It is hard for me to explain how fortunate I feel to have been a part
    of that team.
I glad to see that Sports Illustrated honored him with the article.

Here are a couple of pictures from years ago

    1. Me, Mike and Eddie (when I had hair)
    2. ASA Hall of Fame recognition in 1998 on the statues.
(Rich Hoppe, Mike Branchaud, Jack Knight and me)
    3. Eddie and Don Porter at the HOF recognition
    4. 1998.. Eddi, Mike, Rich and me and NIKI,,, 14 years old..
    5. At Fenway in 2003, with Johnny Pesky
    6. Eddie, in 2003, in Concord at the AAU World series

    He was the greatest...........

I would put this thread and the pictures on the top of the "cool" barometer. I've been watching King and his Court since the early 60's. One time I saw him "K" Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle and Harmon Killebrew in one inning; getting Willie Mays from between his legs and Killebrew from 2nd base. He is an amazing guy! Those that have played with him are filled with lasting memories that will exceed everybody's lifetime.

Wow!!!...those are some great pics. Thanks for the memories.
