    Congratulations go out to Elena Covert on her recent committment to attend and play ball at UNC.
    Coach Papa is getting one of the most fundamentaly sound middle infielders in the state, not to mention, just a fantastic young lady and a fierce competitor.
    We are so excited for you! (Congrats go out to mom and dad too)

    It was indeed a pleasure to be around such a fine young lady during the state games. She has a quiet demeanor with a bulldog competitive spirit. I remember her first at bat in the state games a hard shot up the middle, steal second, and scores on the next pitch :wacky:. Smiles all around! Congrats to Elena and her parents the HEELS are getting a gem!:N1Greatjob02:

    Way to go E!We are so proud of you!A hard worker always putting in extra work before practice,a fierce competitor with a never say die attitude.This young lady has more heart than any player I have ever seen.It won't take Coach Papa long to realize she hit the jackpot with this one!I know John and Mary must be beaming!
