Convincingly, Elon trounced the Tar Heels 10-3 in mid-week action, ending their consecutive home win streak to start the season.

Great job by the Elon pitching staff tonight as Lance Cole picks up the win against the mighty Blue.

Talked to an Elon fan during the game who said he expected a collective post-National Championship hangover...

Elon played well, Carolina played pretty sloppily, from what I saw. I know they had Monday off after the marathon that was the UVA series, between that and what's been going on here this week, it doesn't surprise me :D

I agree, it's arguably the biggest win in the school's brief D1 history. And lets leave it the Phoenix, though I have heard that some alumni have petitioned to revert to the old name.

JM, you asked about John Walker. He's appeared in 22 games, started 7 and has been great with the glove, but he's struggled a bit this year at the dish. I'm sure he'll come around. He's a great player.
