    CBA vs W. Johnston

CFBall to answer your question: I did pretty good, I started at short stop. My bat wasn't the greatest against W. Johnston's pitcher, she had a pretty mean rise ball but I got on a few times. The winning pitcher for us was Jenny Jackson. She's a junior and was an all-state pitcher last year. She's a top notch pitcher and can bring in the heat. Her experience and talent really helped to bring us the win.

    CBA vs. Greene Central

    C.B. Aycock- 6
    Greene Central- 1

Winning pitcher was Jenny Jackson. CBA was hitting the ball very well, and the few hits that G.C. got were very good.

If you're referring to me as Thunderbolt, then I did quite well. LoL. I got a single to right field, a hard hit up the middle that the pitcher saved herself by catching it right at the last second, and then grounded out. My defense was even better, so as we get further into the season I'm feeling a lot better about playing my new position. It is a team sport though so I didn't do anything better than anyone else. We have about 3 girls on our team right now that can pure-T crush the ball and hopefully the rest of the team will come around. Those girls are: Kandace Burroughs (sophomore), Jenny Jackson (junior), and April Vick (senior). Our winning pitcher for 3 out of 4 games is Jenny Jackson and the rest of our defense it great. Our goal as a team is to finally surpass #3 in the state and go all the way this year. :wavey:

    CBA Falcons

This was the first conference game of the season for Charles B. Aycock. After yesterday's game was cancelled due to rain, our team was able to make up for it today against Southern Wayne.

    CBA- 10
    SW- 0

The game ended in 5 innings due to the 10 run rule. Jenny Jackson was the winning pitcher with her catcher April Vick making the calls. Aycock's bats were alive and getting the job done. Our defense was solid with Jenny allowing only one hit in the game and walking no one. We were hitting the ball so well to the left side that Southern Wayne's coach pulled the 2nd baseman to the left side of the bag, the first time that I have ever seen this done in my 12 years of playing. Southern Wayne's bats just didn't come through for them today and their defense was pretty solid, we just got our hits into the gaps. It was a great way for us to start out the conference and I want to wish Southern Wayne the best of luck in the rest of their season.
