    Charles B. Aycock

CBA hosted West Carteret tonight for the chance at their spot in the state playoffs. After 6 innings Aycock was ahead 10-0 and the game was called. The bats were hot for the Golden Falcons and the defense was excellent. Jenny Jackson was the winning pitcher, who has been doing an excellent job. The record is now 17-0

CFBall... just to let you know, since you always ask, I got a pretty good hit tonight (using the Gen1x XXL lol) and then got hit in the arm my next at bat. That was pretty saddening b/c I really wanted to hit again.

In reporting on Manteo's second win of the season over Greenbrier (VA) Christian ( 17-3 and ranked #5 among Virginia's private schools), this morning's Virginian Pilot referred to Katie Miller as an NC State signee. This is the first I have heard of this. Miller originally signed with George Washington University. This year GWU cancelled its season:

Glad to hear Miller is staying in state, but ain't it a shame I had to read it in a Virginia newspaper. To my knowledge, no local net media has reported Miller's change of plans. Miller is 17-1 this season losing only to then #3 ranked 4A Conley 1-0 in eight innings. Manteo is 17-2, its only other loss comming when Miller did not play.

    Charles B. Aycock

Charles B. Aycock went to South Central friday night and pulled out an 8 inning win. The win for CBA over South Central clenched the conference win for 3 years in a row, but the 2 games remaining will determine an undefeated conference championship. The final score

    CBA- 1
    S. Central- 0

I believe that I heard my coach say they were... it was between Kinston, Washington, and South Central.

I struck out my 1st at bat w/ a 3-2 count by swinging at a high pitch, I was told to bunt for the squeeze play and laid it down pretty good down the 1st base line but they got the out at home, and I laid down another bunt later to advance the runners.

This week we finish off our conference play w/ a home game against Eastern Wayne tuesday and thursday we play against a pretty big team... Washington. So it's going to be pretty good since Eastern Wayne is an in county rival.

As soon as I find out who's in and not in the area I'll be sure to let you know.
