Hey guys!! Here is an awesome opportunity!!

Freddie Suggs, Associate Scout with the MLB Scouting Bureau will be conducting a showcase at Ashley High School in Wilmington the last weekend in July.

This is an invitation-only showcase but the cost is $85.
Teams will consist of only 12 players and games are 6 innings in length. Freddie is planning for participants to receive instruction when games are not being played from scouts and coaches in attendance.

If anyone here knows of a legitimate prospect, especially those who may not have received the press some of the "top dogs" get, this is a great opportunity for them.

Please email nominations to [email protected]. You should include the following information:

Name, Address, High School, Height/Weight, Bat/Throw, Primary/Secondary Position, Honors/Awards won, etc...

Coaches, any pertinent information will be helpful. Freddie want to put on a quality product at a low price for the kids. If you have questions, you can PM me or email Freddie yourself. If you contact me I may can get up with him before he reads his email, so let me know.

I know that July is showcase month...and most teams are already committed to a tournament, but if a talented player is available for this event, it will be well worth your time and money to include yourself. For those that have aspirations and the potential to become a college or ML players, this is a showcase for you. There isn't anybody better connected with college and Pro guys in NC than Freddie Suggs. I suspect he will have a very good turnout with attendees.

    C'mon...$85?...for a Freddie Sugg's showcase? That's a 1 night hotel expense for a travel team parent.

Don't let this one pass you by:trophy: :trophy: :trophy:

    Confirmed Scout List

With the legion state tournament and the impact showcase tournament all this weekend, how many scouts will actually be at this showcase?

Is there a confirmed list of which scouts will be there? Is this a Sat & Sun event?

Time is drawing near, and it is a long drive, just looking for some last minute feedback.

it is a Sat-sun showcase... Freddie was aware of other events going on... ther will always be conflicts though in the summer. I would think that the possibility seeing some players that they may or may not have seen all summer would make this attractive for thescouts too, plus they know Freddie's reputation.

Yeah, as good a coach Freddie is, he ain't computer savvy at all...plus he has been taking care of his late mother's affairs. But most of the scouts that are attending the ECP next week in Wilmington arrived early to check out Freddie's event as well as others.

Excellent first day, players in attendance got to play quite a bit. Every position player played at least 6 innings, pitcher pitched 2 innings, then sessions on hitting, lightening cut short instructional time on baserunning. Bible study positional work and AllStar game (best position players and pitchers that havent thrown yet) on tap for tomorrow. Alot of bang for the buck!!

    Intimidator--

Braves is correct, Freddie has been attending to his late mother's affairs. I do know of parents that emailed and their kids were in, also we had walk-ups today, I wish I had known of these kids, I could have helped you with that... I am sorry that happened. If you know of kids that he needs to see, he would gladly help them out, that's the kind of man he is. All you have to do is call him and talk to him. PM mw if I can help you further.
