DD came home this evening and told me that Enka and Pisgah were going to play Wednesday of next week. Should be a great match between two extremely talented teams here in the mountains. The game is susposedly at Enka start time of 4:30. I will confirm this and post any changes. :applause: :laugh1:  :xyzthumbs

I think the Enka-Pisgah game is going to be a double header with JV playing the first game and varsity playing the second.

Enka plays at Asheville on Friday. (My DD is going varsity for that game)
    Wish us luck!

Enkamom12 is correct. JV's play at 4:30 with the Varsity following the conclusion of that game. The game is at Enka.

    Outstanding.....................

definitely a game our college TBR coaches, scouts, parents, players and fans of this game should attend, IMO! as mentioned in an earlier post, these two could very well be in Raleigh together representing Western 2A and 3A and with the talent each processes; worth the trip halfway up the mountain to Enka!

Note: to those who dont know Enka has 2 Fastpitch State Championships in this century and Pisgah has a deep rooted FP community for 50 plus years........telling on some folks :D but count on a great game!

obiviously excited.......this is a CC/Butler type game, one hour >this way

The Enka/Pisgah game time has been moved back a half hour.
The JVs will play at 4:00 and the varsity at 5:30

Good to hear that this one could be put together. While it will be a great chance for someone to put a stake in the ground as WNC's best team, the most beneficial thing for both clubs will be the playoff-type atmosphere.

Consistent pitching, timely hitting and solid D have been the mainstays of both clubs so far. The pitchers all stay around the plate, but seldom give hitters a lot to choose from. Hitting has been hot and cold for each team, but they seem to come through at the right time, as great teams do. The D may be the deciding factor. Enka is more athletic and has more speed, but Pisgah is has an advantage in poise with seven seniors starting. I can't see any one team running away with this one. Home field may be the determining factor, but not by much.

Everyone knows that to win the 2A title, you have to go through Forbush, regardless of their W/L record. If the Bears can win this, it will be a great morale boost for them. Of course, they still have to deal with West at West and that'll be no picnic this time around.

Enka has the team chemistry to make it happen this year and they have more team speed than any team I've seen this season. Six of their starters can motor. If Blankenship and Banks can keep the ball down as they advance, they have a legitimate shot at Raleigh.

This one will be fun to watch. Good luck to both teams.
