How has Matt changed or improved since you had him? What was his fastball velocity then? I see he often throws changeups now, plus his 90-91 fastball...what pitches did he throw back then?

    Thanks!

Great job by Harrison to escape major trouble in the top of the 5th. Bases-loaded & only 1 out. Strike-out & fly-out. No runs score. this is Harrison's 2nd good outing in a row.

    Well

he graduated as a 17 years old and was 6-4 195lbs. He pitched in the 89-91 range and touched 93. He didnt have a change in hs never could get the feel for it. His offspeed pitch was his curveball. Now the change is his best pitch imo. How has he changed? He is all grown up now at 6-5 and 250lbs. And he has learned how to pitch instead of trying to throw it by guys. A tremendous worker and a very humble young man. Its hard to believe he is only 23 years old. This is his first year starting the season on the ml roster. Last year he came up about halfway through. He was drafted in the 3rd round by Atlanta. He signed with NC State but opted for the draft.

    An update

In Matts last outing he pitched a complete game shut out vs the White Sox and only gave up 6 hits. He now is at 17 straight scoreless innings for the Rangers.
