    From Ken Bailey

    "Dear Team Coaches:

We are well aware of Tropical Storm Hanna and the possibility of it turning into a Hurricane and also there is a strong possibility of this storm coming up the East Coast and dumping a tremendous amount of rain in the South East and also the Florence area and this could possibly affect the Fall Southern Exposure Tournament.

However, these storms are highly unpredictable as to what will happen and where they will go.

Therefore, we will wait until Thursday Afternoon around 6:00 PM to make a decision as to our best quess as to what will happen exactly what we should do. At that time, I will email all of you coaches and also post on the website at www.scbandits.org on the Fall Southern Exposure Page what we anticipate happening and what we expect to do.

We run the tournament and not the Softball Complex. Therefore this decision is not ours alone to make".

"We have been in contact with the disaster preparedness and weather bureau, and at this time, they cannot give us a direct tracking for the hurricane. A decision will be made by 3:00 PM on Thursday September 8, 2008 so that you can cancel rooms IF the tournament is being canceled. As of now the tournament is still on."

    Thank you

    Its a go

As of now The fall Southern Exposure is ON and all Saturday games will be on a one hour delay with the first (8:30) game at 9:30 Sat Morning. Times will stay at 1:30 drop dead time limit. That of course is if Hanna behaves like a good girl and stays to the east .

    crazzzyyyy!!!

Having this tournament is possibly the stupidest thing I have ever heard! They are not thinking of the girls safety at all just the $$$$ they are going to loose!!! They are now saying the storm has moved further west than yesterday's forecast! I for one do not want to go all the way to Florence and sit in the rain or motel all weekend- wasting all of that gas and money, or have the girls play in mud all weekend either!

Just got off the phone with the folks at Freedom Florence and they are just expecting rain tonight and ending by morning. Games delayed on hour so far but may be further delays.
They seem to use a different forcast then the tropical storm wind advisory I see on line.
