November 7, 2009—Individual Skills Camp
10am – 4pm
Cost: $100 PER PLAYER
Groups of 4 or more $75 per player
Pitching/Catching Advanced Session
4pm — 7pm
Cost: $50/ $30 if attending skills camp​

November 8, 2009—Team Pre-Season Camp

Open to all athletes 7th grade - 12th grade


Registration begins at 12:00pm


12:30 - 3:00 - Offense


3:30 - 5:00 - Defense/Pitching


$40 per session. Pitchers need to bring their own catcher, if not we are offereing a service where a Wingate softball player will catch for you for an additional fee of $20 (include in camp fee).

Upstate Fall Team camp

USC Upstate will be conducting 8 Fall Team Camps for High School or Travel

Teams this Fall and Winter. It consists of 4 hours of team instruction on any

area the coaches wish! (examples) First and third plays, back ups, priorities,

"Softball at the Beach" Coaches Clinic - Jan. 8 - 10

The "Softball at the Beach" Coaches/Players Clinics, hosted by Ken Bailey of the SC Bandits travel organization, is scheduled for January 8 - 10 at the Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC.

This is a great clinic for school and travel ball coaches.

This year's speakers are:

Mike Candrea -- Head Coach, University of Arizona & US Olympic Softball
Scott Whitlock -- Head Coach, Kennesaw State University
Karen Johns -- USA National Team Coach
Tory Acheson -- Head Coach, Tennesse Tech University
Chuck D"Arcy -- USA National Team Coach
John Tschida -- Head Coach, University of St. Thomas
Tommy Orndorff -- Head Coach, Virginia Shamrock 18U Gold Travel Team

This group represents:

• 5 current or former collegiate head coaches
  
• 3 coaches with a combined 13 collegiate national championship rings
• 4 coaches with USA Olympic or National Team coaching experience
• 4 coaches with more than 1,000 victories each in college programs
  
• Arguably one of the most successful travel ball coaches in the nation
  

With the quality of speakers and the interaction you can have with them, this clinic can truly benefit you and your team.

Players (ages 14-22) are also encouraged to participate in the Players Clinic on Saturday, January 9, where they can drill with and receive pointers from college coaches and players. This clinic is directed by Scott Whitlock, Head Coach of Kennesaw State University.

USC Upstate Winter Camp

Our annual Winter Softball Camp will be January 23rd with the rain date being

the 24th. It is a perfect time to get your cleats knocked off and ready for

high school softball. We will have plenty of room to work on offense and

defense at Upstate. Intramural fields, baseball field, softball stadium, 2

hitting facilities and some indoor training stations. Last year we

accommodated 230 campers. It is always very organized and you gain useful

knowledge to take back with you. Groups of 8 or more recieve a $10

January 24th CofC Softball Camp

College of Charleston Softball January Skills Sessions
January 24, 2010—Patriots Point, Mount Pleasant, SC

All sessions are $40 and 2 hours long


9:00am-11:00am Pitching and Catching—$40
Pitching—Space is limited to the first 30 registrations; SIGN UP EARLY! Space is limited in order to maximize detailed instruction to each pitcher. Work on increasing speed of riseball and dropball and effectiveness change-up.
Catching—Space is limited to the first 30 registrations; SIGN UP EARLY!
Catcher specific drills will be taught and executed. Receiving, plate coverage, blocks, pick-offs, throw downs, pop-ups, and more will be covered. Hands on and personal attention for each catcher.


11:30am-1:30pm Infield—$40
Infield—Space is limited; SIGN UP SOON!
Drills will be taught and incorporated that can be taken home and used to increase skills on the infield. Position specific work will be taught with our excellent instruct


2:00pm-4:00pm Hitting—$40
Hitting—Space is limited to the first 100 registrations; SIGN UP EARLY!
Increase power, increase productivity, increase KNOWLEDGE! Breakdown of the swing will be covered and reviewed along with other drills that can be done at home.

4:30pm-6:30pm Outfield—$40
Outfield—Space is limited; SIGN UP SOON!
First step back! Learn the tips and tricks that make our outfield the top in the Southern Conference. Arm strength and accuracy are key. Our staff and team will work with your softball player to maximize her potential in the grass.
