    18U Results:

    1st - Cabarrus Co. Challengers
    2nd - Lady Blues
    3rd - On Deck Lady O's

    NSA NC State Championships - Rock Hill SC

    Our Carolina Comets teams got off to a good start Friday evening in Rock Hill. The Teal Comets started off with a win over the Charlotte Knights. The other Comet team won their first game by forfeit from the Hit N Run. That matched up the two Comet teams. The Comets defeated the Teal Comets in the second game for both teams. The Teal plays today @ 1pm, while the other Comets play @ 4pm.

    NC NSA State

    Mixed Forces 16U finished 4th in the 16U A division of the NSA NC State tourney in Rock Hill.
    This was our first tournament of the year so we are pretty pleased with our performance.
    We defeated Denver Dazzle Blue in the first game, Blue Magic in the 2nd and then took our first lose to the Red Crushers.
    We defeated Blue Magic a second time Saturday but lost our first game on Sunday to the Wildcats 2-1 in extra innings.
    We are looking forward to the next one!

    our new 16u played well too! :D

    you should have yelled at the "three Stoges" in the concession shade and the perch at the stadium(great view)!

    Kings Mtn Lightning win the NSA State 16u B

    Morgan Childers carried the pitching duties and masterfully so

    thought Thornburg, Bucannon and Blanton did real well Mashin the the Ball

    BT has a luckcharm in Cometfan :laugh1:

    Good to see KMT win. I've been told that when I show up at their games, high school or otherwise that a certain young lady hits a homerun. If thats the case, I will try to get to more games in the future. I love to see a homerun.

    CF you missed the excitement in the Crushers/Pitt Co. Rockets game. In the Crushers last at bat(bottom of 7th) they were down three runs. Their bats caught on fire and put out all the noise that had been going on through both games. They scored 4 runs to quite the crowd and take the state championship. What an exciting finish. I would agree that the Red Crushers are probably the best 16u A team in NC, and deserves the championship.

    16u Hurricanes

    Well... the Hurricanes travelled to Panama City the 10th-18th. We played well, but came up short when we needed it. We won our 1st 2 pool games, beating the team that was expected to win it all. Next we played the Outlaws and lost 2-0, and then it was the Thrillers losing 2-1 in the last minute (a VERY close game). We finished in the top 10 out of 40, still not sure what our actual place is. The Outlaws got 1st place and the Thrillers got 2nd. This is the end of our season, and it was great to play ball w/ a great bunch of girls.

    how did you do?
    how did the "canes" do in the DE portion of the tournament?
    what did you think of the beaches and that sunset there?
    and
    finally.........did you have a "great" time or what?
