    NSA-Salisbury Aug 7-8

    Salisbury NSA 16U

    1st-Mixed Forces
    2nd-Wildfire
    3rd-NC Lady Cardinals
    4th-Outlaws

    Mixed Forces finished 5-0, 3 wins by shut-out.
    Sarah Soesbee (Enka High) pitched 2 shut-outs, one being a no-hitter.
    Emma Parrish(Franklin High) and Kayla Duvall (Franklin High) shared pitching duties earning the other 2 wins. Rebekah Huff (Madison High) was named team MVP.

    We have a couple girls that play volleyball and a couple that play basketball but we still plan to play through November. Our tentative schedule is:
    Spartanburg/Boiling Springs Aug 21-22
    Charlotte or Hominy Valley Sept 11-12
    Pigeon Forge Sept 18-19
    Pigeon Forge Sept 25-26
    Hominy Valley Oct 1-2
    Hickory Oct 9-10
    Salisbury Showcase Oct 23-24
    Myrtle Beach Showcase Nov 12-14

    Mixed Forces went undefeated to win another 1st place trophy in Pigeon Forge this past weekend. Kayla Duvall (Franklin High) pitched a 2 hit shut-out to win the 2nd game. Catcher, Mary Beth Conner,(Owen High) hit her 1st homerun of the year. First baseman, Ivy Gregg (Madison High) was named team MVP for her offensive. Emma Parrish (Franklin High) was named best tournament pitcher and second baseman, Whitney Hinson (Enka High) was named tournament MVP for her defensive play. :laugh1: :laugh1:

    Fastpitch Travel Teams Results

    The Carolina Cobras captured 1st place at the Myrtle Beach Shootout this weekend going 5-0.The Tour was called cause of rain , but 30 mins earlier the Cobras came from behind to beat 1 of SC's top 14u teams, The Force for the finals of the winners bracket with 24 teams in the14u age group.Last weekend the Cobras also took the 16u championship home from the Wilkesboro Fall Jam. Way to go girls, your coaches & parents are very proud of you!!!!!!!!!!! Go Cobras :xyzthumbs
