Definitely not NSA, especially after last weekend. They allowed a team who had 2 losses to advance in the tournament. All the other teams with 2 loses went home. This was in the 18u group.
This team eventually won the tournament. They probably had the best tallent there top to bottom, but, when you lose 2 you go home. Everyone else did. I heard alot of coaches grumbling about NSA. For a state tournament this should be run without any flaws.. Maybe someone can tell us how one team got so lucky.

is lossing respect from alot of quality organizations in NC, with some being the foundation of nsa! Their format for the State tournament should have been DE with one pool play if the 3 game quarantee was a Must for nsa. I am sure the officials for nsa will make adjustments for next years tournament.
We have found USFA offers an outstanding format, good umpires and had an outstanding, well orgainzed and simple DE State tournament. Let's just voice our opinion to Howard Edwards at www.ncnsasoftball.com and I am sure he will consider the better options next year. Flames had an outstanding team but I agree, they should not have been playing for a championship on Sunday! They had a bracket that allowed them an opportunity to lose two and still have a chance to win it all and they took advantage of it to the Fullest! NOTE: From my decisions with the Flame staff and many other 16u and 18u coaches, this could very well be their last year of NSA Softball unless some things are modified!
