Final Call: NSR Showcase Camps

Please pass the word to any '05, '06 and '07 prospects that we have slots available at our two final Elite Showcase Camps at USC Spartanburg on Friday, June 25 and Catawba College on Tuesday, June 29. We are proud to be holding the camps with the aide of Coaches Nan Whitley and Chris Hawkins.

Our camps allow prospects to demonstrate their individual abilities and skills not only to the coaches that attend that particular camp, but to the all the coaches who attend our camps. How? After the Catawba camp date we will be sending feedback to every coach who attended any one of our camps. Players will be timed in the 20-yard dash and Pro Shuttle in addition to getting full infield and outfield practice. Scrimmages will follow with every player on every team batting each inning.

National Scouting Report presents a series of one-day camps designed to highlight and document the speed, quickness and playing skills of softball prospects from the 2005, 2006 and 2007 classes. College coaches and NSR area scouts will conduct evaluations. Souvenir T-shirts, lunch and a recruiting seminar will be provided. Each camp is a complete day of scheduled events including skill assessments, timed events and round robin play. All participants must pre-register** and furnish personal workout equipment. NOTE: Camp rosters will fill on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Drills: Pro-shuttle, 20-yd dash, infield and outfield throws; catchers – pop times; pitchers – pitching speed.

Scrimmages: Prospects are put into four teams with each player batting during the inning.

Registration: $85.00 pre-paid fee covers T-shirt, lunch and recruiting seminar. How long does it last and how many scouts will be there?

 

Registration is from 7:30 'til 8:15. Recruiting seminar after that then we start drills and timing around 9:00 AM with games beginning right after that. All regional college coaches have been invited. Regardless, we have committed to sending info on the kids to the regional coaches. Thanks.
