I am interested in learning more about the Charlotte tournaments listed on the Diamond Devils fall schedule.
Does anyone know how to contact the tournament organizers.
Also, is anyone else putting on tournaments in NC that attracts such a large, quality field as the Diamond Devils tournament this weekend ? I thought you had to go to East Cobb for those types of tournaments. Thanks.

The On Deck O's 17s had their best tournament of the fall, taking a cue from the 18's performance last week.

The O's 17s went 4-0 in Charleston, winning 3-1 over the Spartanburg Dirt Dogs (Brendan Van Popering the complete game W), 4-3 over the East Cobb Strikers (Matt Layman the complete game W), 3-2 over the Central Florida Renegades (Thomas Hovis the complete game W), and 4-1 over the Birmingham Barons (Wes Waddell went 6 for the W, Cody Drake pitched the 7th).

Add TJ Worrell and Tom Porter (who played up with the Os 18s) to that staff, and add Drew Martin's bat and Mike Cavasini's speed to the lineup, and look out.

    Fayetteville Hurricanes

I know the Charlotte Megastars beat the Hurricanes Saturday night, 10-8. With the Megastars leading 10-2, the Hurricanes made a valiant comeback to make it 10-8 and had a man on 2nd base and the tying run at the plate when the final out was recorded. Nate Staton got the win for Megstars and Sean Snell got the save. Big 1st baseman for the Hurricanes hit a monster shot homerun.

Great job by the O's 17's down there !!!!!! This team is going to be solid next year.

Talked with Coach Weatherspoon last night. The NC Red Sox Scout Team went 3-1, destroying all competition (my words, not his) except for the East Cobb Astros. They played the Atlanta A's, Baseball Warehouse and the Virginia Diamond Dawgs.
