Final Regular Season Standings for JUCO Region X Div. I

    The end of regular season standings and tournament pairings look like this:

    1. Florence- Darlington Tech
    2. Spartanburg Methodist
    3. Pitt Community College
    4. Louisburg College
    5. Blue Ridge Community College
    6. Surry Community College
    7. Rockingham Community College
    8. USC- Salkahatchie

    The pairings are standard with 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5. The tournament will be played at Wofford per the latest word.

    The league had tons of parody and it came down to the last day to determine rankings. Should be a good tournament.

    What the piss has happened to Surry? I thought they were supposed to be good.

    We played Surry this past weekend and they are very talented and have the ability to run the table in the tourney.

    Baseball is a funny game.

    I was told they completely screwed up a kid's mechanics. He was throwing high 80's and could hit 91 and they dropped him to 3/4 because it gave his ball some more movement. When he's throwing that hard with 4 pitches I wouldn't mess with it.

    I have no idea about that but like I said they are a quality ball club and the tourney should be great.

    The kid played at my high school. I saw him pitch since he was 10.

    You are right Coach. The quality of players at all schools has increased so much that the parity in the league is unbelievable. Blue Ridge has really improved dramatically...and Florence Darlington is making a big name for themselves.

    But I must mention one of my favorite coaches of all time. Coach Vernon at Surrey...he is one of a kind

    Please keep us posted with as much details that you can about the tournament
