Let's take one of the best baseball programs in the nation, UNC. Please explain, Alex White, Kyle Seager and Ben Bunting, played legion every summer and have no clue what they did in the fall. Levi Michael played legion in the summer until his last year. I don't know how many other kids played legion that are on the roster; however, these guys did and it does not seem to have hurt them or their parents pocket. I am a legion "believer" and showcase ball has made two great changes. #1-It has made it easy for college coaches to see kids. #2-It has put ALOT of money in some guys pockets who host\coach\collect money from players and parents looking for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. For the guys that do showcase for the right reason and don't ask for ransome, you have my upmost respect. For the others, I do not believe in negotiating with terrorist. You obviously had someone teach you the "right way" or you would not have been so successful. I only ask that the kids these days get the same opportunity regardless of their financial situation. Learning how to play the game should be a gift that is passed on and developed to whatever level the player can achieve by practice, playing and hard work.

 

Terriffic!! A free market guy in a changing world or change you can believe in or just changing something to change. Anyway I agree that time cures all things, but I'm afraid that Legion is regaining it's footing in alot of areas. The withering comes and goes in the less dominate areas for legion because sometimes kids are like a school of fish, flock to what is fashionable at the moment. What can you do for me right now???
