    To Rocketrowdie and WMeck#8

South Caldwell is a class act. I have watched these teams for years. Normally they don't make enough noise like other teams. As for ACR, when we played them at ACR, the fans in the outfield on the hill, taunted the outfielders the whole game and ACR lost. One of our outfielders can't take it, and has to taunt back, but he will learn as he gets older that isn't the best reaction. The best reaction is to just play ball and beat the opposing team on their own turf. All teams yell in the dugout and I was sitting by the dugout the whole game at West Meck and only one time did one player(the same outfielder) point to your players and say something he should not have. One player. The ump reprimanded the coach to talk to him. Your pitcher balked by just letting the ball fall out of his glove while standing on the mound. What is there to fuss about? Honestly SC could have piled on more runs than they did. This is playoff time, there is no let up during a game at this time of year. Any coach would be crazy to let up and then possibly be sent home because of it. It does sound like sore losers. And another thing, the top six teams in the NW4A conference could have beat this team. I agree WMeck came to play, but not at this level of baseball. I didn't see their players doing anything derogatory at all either. A classy team. I especially loved the last pitcher #12, he was having a good time and smiling. Good luck to WMeck next season. Great game to South Caldwell--Hardee( a grand slam & 3/5), Chavis( a grand slam), Bumgarner(a solo shot), Poovey(great pitching), Severt(great lead-off base running). Sportsmanship is important to this team, but so is winning. Good luck at Ashbrook!

This coming from a Rocket fan Is the JOKE. At least when South won in the conference tournament, our fans and jv players didn't rush the field as if it was the first game ever won. No player on the Spartans team tried to jump on an umpire screaming and cussing when getting called out at home plate and throwing helmets when they got thrown out at first! To me that is bad sportsmanship and bad attitude. How can a Rocket fan or player comment about South after the way they acted at South? Please!!

I believe this was comment enough to get things started huh?

    Trash Talking

I have no idea if SC was talking trash and who else is or has been talking trash. In my opinion there is no place for trash talking period. You pull for your team your players and there is no place for talking trash to the opposing team PERIOD! Just play the game. Personally if one of our players says anything to an opposing player coach or fan they can be ready to sit the rest of the night. Focus on playing the game and picking up your team mates. As far as stealing with a nine run lead I would look as this as bush league unless it was a playoff game. In the playoffs ending a game early works to your benefit down the road as far as saving innings for pitchers etc. And its do or die you end it as fast as you can without leaving the opposition any chance of coming back on you. I dont know why any real baseball player would think that talking trash to the opposing team gives them an edge. It may fire up the other team. But it definitely has no place in our game. Again I was not there so I have no idea what happened. Im just making a general statement that trash talking has no place in the game. Players should just play and coaches should just coach. I also think that it is classless for fans to yell remarks to players on the field as well. Spend your energy pulling for your players and respect the game. Enough Said on this topic I think we all would agree with that.

The pitching in the CPC was the strongest in my memory. I'm not surprised that West Forsyth scored 6 on Providence. They've been facing an ace every night in conference. West has everyone back next year. Watch out...

That's the game I should have gone to....Wow!!

Despite the loss, you have to give credit to a warrior performance to Robby Bray. The young man is incredible....and so was the Independence team. I echo Indy Dad's sentiments.

North Forsyth is the real deal and I love the fact that they found a way to win...speaks volumes towards their character.

No problem, lets learn from out mistakes... There is not a day that goes by that I don't make one... I just hope this board will stay clean and enjoyable for all.

BTW... I agree with Coach May. There is no place in baseball for classless trash talking. I was not at any games last night, so I can't speak for what happened. Recruiters and College Coaches dont like it. I personally would mark you off my list for that.

To all players: Let your play do the talking instead of your mouth??
