    New Update on Bard:

The doctors have said that he will be out for four to five more weeks...just messin with you. He has been cleared to start conditioning on friday the 26th. On Monday the 29th, he will be throwing again. I dont think that this has thrown him off to much due to his going underneath the stadium and throwing into a net by himself when no one was watching. Look for him to tear it up for the rest of the fall. Ill keep everyone updated on that. Just thought that everyone would be glad to know how Bardo is doing and the good news.

Tomorrow will be our third inter-squad scrimmage of the fall. I just got the word that I would be starting for one of the teams, so I am pumped for that. After the scrimmage us pitchers have light conditioning and then we will take it to the house for the day. We will be back out there Saturday at 11am for our fourth inter-squad of the fall. Ill be keeping a mean chart and reminiscing on my position playing days...oh well, it is worth it, I wouldnt have it any other way. Pitching is the best. Thats the run down for right now. Ill be on later. I gotta run to mandatory study hall until 9:30.

Thanks a whole lot sugarjet. I am very glad to post any sort of information that will benefit the readers of this board. If you ever have any specific questions, feel free to ask me. Again thank you for your support, I will update everyone how the "charlotte boys" do.

P.S. Mike Daniel is hitting the mess out of the ball. I know that there are many South Meck readers/posters on the board, so I thought that I would let you know.

Aright everyone, sorry for the delay on the response, but I had a busy weekend.

The rundown on Game 1 this weekend (friday). Andrew Miller (freshman) and I were the starters for the game. I felt pretty good up there, and in the first inning I struck out the side. In the second inning I got 3 groundball/flyball outs. And in the third I struck out the first batter, got flyout from T White (line drive to left) and then gave up a 3-2 single and then 2 more singles after that. (One of them to Mike Daniel who hit a change up to center). I then ended the inning with a flyout to third. Over all I was pleased with the outing, I obviously would have liked to finished out my last inning a little better, but we have some great hitters and I realize that it I am going to give up hits and that I can just continue to learn from each outing and get better everyday.

In game 2, (saturday) I kept a mean pitching chart and chased down a lot of foul balls. On top of that, I lifted in the wieght room and had conditioning during the game. Due to all of this going on, I had a limited view of the game, but here is what I saw. I saw Tyler White hit a double to left and a bomb over the left center field wall. Mike D had another solid day at the plate getting at least 2 hits. Mango made some great plays at second and short and had at least one hit. Bard started back with conditioning and says that he and his arm feels great. He is very ready to get back out there and pitch. That is about all that I have on the Charlotte guys now, I will do my best to continue to update everyone. If you guys have any questions, I will be more than happy to try and answer them.

    Have a good one.

It was also nice to read that all the players from Charlotte had a good weekend......TWhite had a dinger, huh!! Way to go Tyler

Up, what has been the biggest transition for you as far as college is concerned?... it does not have to be baseball related.

Griffin is looking really solid. He is a great receiver and blocker. Guys on the team say that his arm has gotten a lot better. It is right around a 1.9 to 2.0 right on the bag everytime. I really like working with Griff. He is a helps out us pitchers a whole lot and is a great teammate. He has been working his butt off. On top of that, he is our team's academic team captain due to his success in the classroom. Also, he isn't afraid to leave the yard some in BP and has had some solid knocks in scrimmages.
