When I said sports equipment, I was intending glove, baseball, bat, etc.

I really thought during my pregnancy, the way the boy kicked I was having a soccer player. My husband quickly reminded me that we live in America and soccer is not a sport. :59: I do confess, he did play soccer for a couple of years in MS, but that was only because he wanted to play a sport every season. We'll agree...there is nothing like baseball! :fan_wave2:

You could try transferring him to a different day care or Mothers Morning Out Program.

    Sorry Braves. I couldn't resist. I know that's sick humor.:sweatdrop:

My son's first interest early on was "Ninja Turtles"....found them in the attic the other day....I had forgotten how much fun it was to play with those things.

Then it was soccer at 4 years old.....thank god that didn't last long (no offense soccer fans).

Then at 5 he picked up a baseball bat and ball for the first time. At first I was really worried becuse he really "sucked" at playing.....it took us the whole season to realize he was left handed and we were trying to make him play right handed.

After that it was all great....he has loved baseball every sense. :mr-t:

    Always Playing

Our oldest son tried many sports. At 5 he began with soccer and baseball. By the time he was 8, he gave up soccer and was playing football in the fall, basketball in the winter, baseball in the spring and he swam in the summer. By 9 he dropped football and basketball and switched to baseball in the spring and fall, and swimming in the summer. At 12 it was baseball only. It's been his favorite since he was 5. He's been really into ESPN since he was about 3 and he's a total stat guy. He can really analyze any game, any sport.

I swear this is true. Our youngest son had his high chair at the back wall of the kitchen. At around 18 months - 2 years old he began throwing his food from his high chair across the kitchen past the table and into the family room. My husband and I used to get so aggravated, until one day I joked that maybe he would be a pitcher. He started playing ball at 5 and one of his most happy moments was when he was finally old enough to play kid pitch. He's been pitching for several years and this boy loves to pitch. I believe it could be in his blood!
