Wow, what a great addition to the CBC staff! It's amazing that the young men will have an opportunity to be coached by a premiere staff member. I can't recall anybody that was an ACC head coach availing his experience at this level.

What a coup by CBC...and what an opportunity for the kids associated with CBC! Outstanding!!!!!!!

I've been out of this for a while and don't know anything about CBC. Can someone fill me in on where they are based out of? Thanks.

CBC stands for Carolinas Baseball Center, a baseball and softball training facility located in Charlotte on Westinghouse Boulevard. It is primarily owned and operated by Jeff Schaefer, former Major Leaguer. CBC has a large staff of instructors with Major League experience and a fabulous indoor facitity with a full size artificial turf infield, 8 batting cages with pitching machines, and 4 mounds. Jeff is assisted by Jake Robbins, who primarily coaches pitchers. Jake had a 14-year professional career with some time in the Majors. After initially starting as a training facility only, Jake and Jeff started to field teams for the Showcase events and have now expanded their roster of teams to include the CBC Diamond Rats (Showcase 15U-18U) and the CBC Cougars for the up and comers (14U and below). With so many teams, Jeff & Jake rely on many of the top area HS coaches to lead some of the teams. Here is their website:
