    wwba final

no details, but phone call just let me know dirtbags lose in final, 7-3.

A great showing by a great group of players and kids. Hate to see them lose, but a great showing to be proud of.

    Congratulations!

Outstanding job Dirtbags! Every NC team that succeeds at this level makes all NC baseball players more appealing to scouts and recruiters. Great job!

Finishing 2nd in a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game ain't too shabby. South Charlotte Panthers #2 this summer at East Cobb in the 18U National Championship, and now the younger Dirtbags. NC showing well on a national stage. With due respect to Collin's opinion.

Well, this Dirtbag team has set the bar a little higher. No team from NC has ever played in the Championship game. A few have come close, but this is now the new standard. Let's see if we can bring home the rings at the one in Jupiter:worshippy:

Wow.....how did I miss that? My apologies to the SC Panthers. Does this mean I won't have room on their bus for Jupiter?

    Very Impressive

Andy and his staff really know how to get kids ready for the big ones. It ain't luck when you can do it over and over again with a different group. Outstanding performance by this group of excellent players.

Would have been nice to have had Tyler Joyner and Brian Goodwin available.

    Dirtbags lose in finals

A great effort just came up short for the Dirtbags.A great semi-final vs.Homeplate Chili Dawgs.Chris Munnley threw well with multiple hits by Levi Micheal,Ben Fish, Chaz Frank, and Jonathan Holt. The final went the other way.dirtbags postedthe first run on a double by Wil Myers driving in Michael.Mckinney Marshall out of Texas tied the scored at 1.They plated 4 in the second for 5-1 lead. The 2nd run was driven in by Brian Bass's Double.Mckinney put 2 more on the to make it 7-2.Holt drove in the 3rd run to make it 7-3.This was the final score. The baseball down here was outstanding. The Dirtbags played beautiffuly combining great pitching, hitting, and defense.North Carolina should be proud of the effort.Tell Colin this is the best tournament in the country for the underclassman.Well done Coach Partin and Coach Mills.thanks for the great memories.I look forward to next year.
