Franklin allowed to stay as McDowell's AD

OK Tony who selects the commitee? And could the board not have told them they needed to offer more selections? So who is more dangerous a secret committee or a school board with an attitude that doesn't care?

 

I know where your coming from titanfanforever. Why was the commitee not called together to interview for the baseball coaches job??

 

See the super secret committee only works part time. It's seems to be the going thing among board members. They only have to work when it's convienient for them. Not that Smith didn't deserve the head coaches position but sure seems like things don't run they same way twice. Here's another one for you... how does the principal of the high school's wife get a PE position when there are younger much fitter applicants?

 

Good points titanfanforever. You know you might know me since you are a titan fan. This whole situation puts me in a uncomfortable position. Brian Franklin is a personal friend of mine and I have always wanted to see him Coach for the Titans. Maybe I'm niave but I was expecting to see Brian step up to coach the Titans when coach Church decided to retire. I never thought things would turn out the way they have. I'm sure Brian will be a fine coach for the lady Titans. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I just don't believe you should treat someone that has dedicated 32 years of his life to a program and made this program the success it is{650-200} the way this school board treated Coach Silver. But we cannot change the past.We can only look foward to the future and I believe the future looks very bright for the lady titans. I can't wait till November. Thinks for your feedback.

 

I just feel they've put Franklin in a no win position. If for some reason our girls don't have the year we're expecting then the masses will say he wasn't the man for the job. If there are problems with his AD position then he wasn't the man for the job. I seriously doubt "the committee" was looking out for what was best for him. He's having to carry an awful lot with it being his first year as head coach.
