Well, the Cougars are on a roll. With the big win over Hickory, can they break through against Freedom? Freedom has dominated Alexander Central of late. Even when the Cougars were having losing seasons, they competed with most teams pretty well, but not Freedom. Should be a very good game in Tville on Friday night. Let's hear what you think on the game..

Alexander Central in a close one, 24-17 :twocents:

I've been a Freedom fan but dang if I wouldn't like to see Deal and Harper's boys kick McMahon's ass.

I've heard Cameron Kerley is out (concussion) and Justin Bowles has a broke arm, but will play. Broke it against Hickory and still played. Dont if it will happen, but my guess is AC 17 Freedom 7. I hope!

bowles does have a broken arm. he did break it in the hickory game but he didn't not come out and made some spectacular plays in the 4th quarter that lead to the cougar's touchdown. there is no doubt in my mind that if it is up to him, he will be in the backfield on friday night. he is a fighter and one of the best running backs in highschool right now. i'm going to have to go with the cougars on this one

I heard last night Bowles is out. So is Steven Willis (21) starting corner and fullback.
    I respectfully withdraw my prediction!!!!!!

    Cougars vs. Patriots

The Cougars can still beat Freedom. Freedom only beat South Caldwell on 3 big plays. South moved the ball on them the first half at will. Cougars just need to stop the big plays. Good Luck!!

    Cougar injuries

Bowles is out for the Freedom game. He broke a bone in his arm while trying to brace himself while going down. He played most of the 2nd half with a broken arm. Cameron Kerley, who is the teams 2nd leading reciever and a back up cornerback is out due to a concussion. He will be back next week at
Watauga. FB,CB,Steven Willis will play against Freedom. He has an injured hand. All three of the injuries will hurt, but the Cougars are still very confdident they can break a long losing streak, 9 games, against Freedom.

Any idea how much time Bowles will miss? Who will fill his place Friday night?

    injury update

Bowles will be out two weeks. That means he will return for the regular season finale against South Caldwell. WR Cameron will be back next week at Watauga.
