Freedom Softball Tourney's

    Freedom High School will host their 2nd annual scrimmage on February 17th in Morganton. Committed teams as of today.

    Freedom,Butler,Hopewell,Crest,South Caldwell,Watauga,Wilkes Central, Bandy's,Hibriten we have room for 4-6 more teams. The games will be played at the new Catawba River Complex (if complete) and Freedom High School.

    Freedom will also host the 2nd annual JV Easter Classic on April 14th.
    Freedom,South Caldwell,Central Cabarrus,Wilkes Central, (Alexander C) -JV COACH??? have committed with other teams still considering. We can accomodate alot of teams in Morganton with 8 fields to play on.

    update

    North Davidson, Watauaga, Butler, and Alexander have now joined the JV tourney.

    Looking better and better for the jv kids. Great day of softball last year.

    Hope the softball fields turn out as good as the baseball fields. I have seen the complex & they are doing a great job there. Nice looking team benches & spectator bleachers!!! Good luck with your tourny's!!!

    We were informed yesterday that the new softball fields at the complex may not be ready by February. If this happens we will move the scrimmage to Reep Park in Hildebran. They have 4 fields and a new pressbox area. We'll keep you updated.

    Event updates

    The 02-17-07 Multi-team scrimmage is now full. The teams are as follows

    Freedom, Butler, Watauga, South Caldwell, East Rutherford, Hopewell, Crest, Bandys, Hibriten, Alexander Central, Science Hill Tn., Weddington, St. Stephens, South Point, East Burke, and Wilkes Central.


    The 04-14-07 JV Easter Classic is also complete with the following teams:

    Freedom, Butler, North Davidson, Central Cabarrus, Alexander Central, South Caldwell, Wilkes Central, and West Wilkes

    We are also hosting a 1 Day Varsity Classic on 03-17-07 and the teams committed are:

    Freedom, Butler, Watauga, Crest, South Caldwell, Weddington, West Wilkes, Wilkes Central, East Gaston, Hopewell(?) and Kings Mountain(?).

    We could still use 1 more team for this- 1 game each.
