Suprising score, especially if Laurel Gregg pitched for Madison? Anyone have any details on this game?

Kings Mtn. and Hopewell canceled for tonight.

I think South Caldwell beat Wilkes Central fairly easily?

Again, I wonder who pitched for East Gaston. I figure Primm will go against Freedom. East has been very solid this year. Either West Wilkes is a good team, or East didn't play everybody? I know one of the Sealy twins isn't there today.

    Gregg pitched vs. Weddington...
Weddington pitcher had 8 K's and allowed 4 hits.
Weddington had strong bats out there, couple of doubles and triples out there today...no set count on number of hits, but there were plenty!

Looked like Gregg loosened up after the first game. She wasn't as sharp in the first game as she was in the second. Also, Reilly scored in the 1st and the lead held up. She walked, then went to second on a passed ball, then moved to third on a weak grounder to 2nd, then scored on a passed ball. Watauga didn't get their hit till the 7th though, when Beth Wilson reached on a grounder deep in the hole to short. Great day of softball even though a little chilly.
