Everyone I saw was outstanding. No front runners. So they need to really step it up next year.

    Hey Jeff

Welcome to the site. I hope you stick around and enjoy it here. As far as freshman in the PAC6 I really can not answer that one for you. But we have at least one coach that posts and reads here alot and I am sure he will be glad to add his input when he logs on again. We also have a few other posters who have kids playing in the PAC6 so they might be able to tell us something as well.

not Pac6 but Tony Sanchez of Cary is hitting .320 and starting everyday. Switch hitter.

not bad for a 14 year old in 4A varsity baseball.

Coach 27 mentioned "parents out there" that have kids that are freshman that might be willing to post on here. I have NEVER posted in TBR, But I have read for MANY months. That is why I have hesitated to post anything on my son out of fear of being "SLAMMED" . Ya know--"the Mom Factor". Since it is Mother's Day-I thought I might get a reprieve. :blont2:

MAC 3A team Enka High School moved up 14 yr. old freshman, Chris Jones, on March 10th & he was made DH. He finished up his season with 2HR and 1st on his team for Batting Average w/ a .455 BA w/ on base percentage well over .600. Chris will be playing w/ the "Dirtbags" this summer. Not bad for 14 yr. old.

Enka, along w/ North Buncombe, Tuscola, & TC Roberson will be going to the state playoffs.

    My 23 cents

Saw the Aparicio kid play once in a 14U tournement. Brought heat off the mound. Lots of potential. But the biggest thing was his bat. He ripped one through the hole (SS/3rd) and the ball skipped off the ground like a golf ball and slammed into our left fielder.

This kid scarred me as to what I saw he might be capable of at the plate. Was just glad he didn't really get a hold of one and hurt one of our fielders.

I know of 2 brothers Roach who Ive seen play. The younger did catch but don't think he is even in HS. The older was a middle inflielder but could likely have played catcher with many teams. Both Roach kids I know of are just absolutely players. Intense tough competitors. They don't quit. Scrappers that don't give in.
