I will trully say in my 11 years of experiencing the great game of fastpitch softball ,I've made some real friends from coaches to parents all shapes, and sizes,I've trully have had fun from summer to summer. The kids have been challenging sometimes as they grow from little girls to young women, and their language and thought processes change from year to year, but I would never trade the comradery that I've made with those that I've come in contact with over my middle age years. My buddy Shane / Jay haved laughed at my jokes, and my silliness from dancing to "Electric Slide" in Huntersville last year or just by the little antics that I've said or done...and my buddies Dennis / DC / Mikey have all been like brothers to me over the past (4) years of close ball playing as we have watched our kids mature in the game and turn into serious ball players, but also girly when the boys come around...WOW,and all the Directors that I've come into contact along with the great coaches/ parents..Daddy "D" for an example; one heck of a guy always laughing and having fun,but is very competitive on the field, and will give you a run for your money...Still can't get HOWARD to IM me ---LOL--- He always tells me he has to go--" GOT A CALL HOLDING "----LOL. But the greatest challenge in my life was to hang up the Coaches Badge..I really enjoyed coaching ,but decided that it was best for my DD if I just stepped down ,and become a parent again, and enjoy the game on the other side of the fence.Folks even though you might not have always agreed on every situation that has been made by your coaches, you should appreciate them for the time that they give to your child so that your child can have a place to enjoy the GREAT GAME OF SOFTBALL....Hey in the end we are all that we've got !!!!------------ Love Ya Guys "MY BUDDIES"---- GURU

Guru, my daughter coached softball for 16 years. she gave up the coaching part last summer, and seems to be doing ok with teaching. I am the one that is having a hard time with her not coaching. I still enjoy being at the ballfield. I will have to say the feeling is not the same when I walk into a softball complex knowing that she want be there coaching her team on. On the brighter side I can see all the young girls that she has helped, and continues to do so. She will probably have pitchers in just about every tournament this year. I am so proud of my daughter and the girls she has helped. I hope you can relax Guru!

srry bro, had a little episode about a month ago. somebody decided that this 36 yr old body needed a wake up call and gave me a nice big old stroke for the beginning of ball season. doing better, went back to work this week and everything is back to normal other than my right hand isn't 100% yet but working hard to get it there. to every one out there who knew and contacted me or just prayed for me thank you all so much. very tuff time for my wife and kids especially for my baby(not much of a baby anymore lol) since it was me and her riding the roads together all those years going back and forth to fields. hope everyone else is doing well and i will be at Forbush this weekend and North Davidson next weekend for scrimmages. stop by and say hey, can't miss me 6'2" and gray headed and probably either very close or very far from parkland's scorekeeper. she's a fox (oh and my wife which is why i may be far from her some lol) see you all soon and all hail THE GURU

Man !!!!---- I'm very sorry, hope is all better for you !!!!!---- I guess your priorities change when your health is involved....softball is a game, but so many times we get caught up in it that it becomes part of our bodily function or at least a compulsive behavior...take care and we will see you on the diamond.....:xyxthumbs:
