Game of the Year

Game of the year in the Carolina 3A conference. Tonight Northern Vance and Southern Vance battled for 15 2/3 innnings of scoreless ball. Jordan Garrett battled in the circle for Southern and Jessica Rowland was equal for Northern. Garrett set down 19 by way of the K for Southern, and Rowland had 13 K's for Northern. Both pitchers were supported by tremendous defensive efforts. There were 0 errors in the game, folks we are talking about 95 consecutive outs of error free ball. In the bottom of the 16th with 2 outs Amanda Bullock to the plate, Garret quickly got ahead 0-2, the next pitch Bullock lined a single to left. Coach inserted Harley Parrott to run for Bullock, Cierra Thompson comes to the plate, in Cierr'a first 5 at bats she has has either bunted or attempted to get it down. Coach turns her loose, and she hits a deep ball over the drawn in center fielder, Parrot scores from first, game over.

There were no losers in this game, just a bunch of young ladies who all live within 15 minutes of each other, battling it out for nearly 3 hours. My hat goes off to all the players and the coaches for both teams, it just does not get any better then that.
