Thanks CF! I hope to be there if the weather isn't too cold or rainy. You know how it is........... I'll rust if I get wet, and freeze if the temperature gets below my age.

    Scrimmage results

Not sure about everyone else but here is a recap pf Freedom's day.

Game 1 vs Burns- Lost 3-0- Looked like the kids were still asleep and not ready to play. Burns pitcher kept Freedom off balance. Freedom pitched the freshman (Hasson) she threw the ball well.

Game 2 vs East Gaston- Won 6-2- Bats woke up a little- Solid defensively, timely hitting.

Game 3 vs Kings Mtn JV- Won 6-1- The freshman for Freedom can swing the bat. Good game again defensivley

Game 4 vs South Point- Won 5-1- Sophomore (Ramsey) pitched solid game again. Need more hitting from middle of lineup. Freedom lost their only senior- catcher, Cross for a week or two with a twisted knee. Hope it's not too serious.

Overall stellar defense- only 2 errors for the day. Pitching was solid

There were so many games going on, you couldn't keep up with who won and who lost them all. I think the teams were more concerned about playing everybody, and feeling some lineups out.

The freshman pitcher from Burns you speak of is Brandi Cook, 16-U Crossfire member. She did pitch well in her first high school outings.

I never watched East Rutherford closely, but it looked like they were really hitting the ball hard. Kings Mtn. still has Morgan Childers, enough said. North Lincoln has some bats. Crest should be able to score some runs. All the teams basically looked about the same, except for maybe Kings Mtn. They do have everybody back.

I was impressed to see Ali Ford out there on the diamond. She does it all, doesn't she?

I hope your catcher is OK!

East Gaston lost to Freedom, beat Burns, beat Bandys. There was alot of subbing going on in all games except the Bandys game. The Bandys game was played by EG's probable starting line up.
EG JV vs. KM JV not sure who won this one. I think KM

How did the freedom pitchers look. Anyone know. I know last year the girl didn't throw hard, but they played flawless defense, especially at third. Are they going that route this year also, or does the pitcher have more speed.
