Prepster ... your gonna have to start contributing on this thread too

You really know these players better than any of us

    Cary at Western Harnett
Western Harnett, coming off a loss to Fuquay-Varina got even at the expense of Cary.

Cutler (Cary) surrendered 4 runs on a 4 hits and a walk in the 1st
    Hodges (WH) threw a 1 hitter, with 14 strikeouts & 4 BB.

    Final score: 5-0 Western Harnett

Cary has been up and down this season, like many young teams.

    On the Coast results

Here are the scores .... I point out a couple of details at the end.

    Swansboro 16 - Northside Jax 0
    Richlands 5 - SW Onslow 3
    Ashley 6 - White Oak 3
    Laney 8 - Jacksonville 3
    E.Carteret 11 - Croatan 3
    Midway 6 - Wallace-Rose Hill 5
    Lejeune 6 - Jones Co. 3
    Harnett Cent. 15 - W.Johnston 4
    Edenton 5 - Pasquotank 1
    Williamston 12 - Perquimans 0
    E.Wayne 4 - S.Wayne 2
    Aycock 5 - Washington 0
    Rosewood 5 - N.Johnston 2
    Farmville Cent. 10 - N.Duplin 0
    Ayden-Grifton 9 - Spring Creek 3
    W.Craven 21 - Goldsboro 1
    Havelock 2 - Rocky Mt. 0
    N.Brunswick 4 - Pamlico 2
    New Bern 6 - Hoggard 4

Havelock is still playing well and the youngish New Bern squad knocked off Hoggard in a mild upset.

    Fuquay-Varina 7, Garner 3

Even though one of Garner's ace lefty pitchers, Adam Stanley, was hurling the ball hitting 90 - 92 occasionally and living in the upper-80's, Fuquay handled him pretty well and completed the season series with a sweep. FV has a stranglehold on the the Tri-County 7 Conference this year. They look to go undefeated.

    Riverside 14, Sanderson 3

Riverside continues to rip through it's competition. They have picked up wins this week against Sanderson and Person. Their record is 8-0 in the Pac-6 conference.

    Mid-Southeastern & Two Rivers Conferences

In the Mid-Southeastern it's down to a two-horse race with no other team above .500 for the season.

    Scotland County 8-1, 4-0
    Richmond County 7-2, 3-1

Scotland won round #1 1-0 in 9 innings. Round #2 coming up between these 2 schools, both of which are playoff bound.

The Two Rivers Conference is basically "a mess" except for South View which is still at 11-0. The two teams with the best over-all records (Pine Forest & EE Smith, both 8-3) are mired in the bottom half of the conference standings while relatively weaker Lumberton (3-7) & Purnell Swett (6-4) stand alone in 2nd with 3-1 records in conference.

    East Randolph

Though not so "Far" to the east, East Randolph's coach reached a milestone this week in the tough 3A division that includes Ragsdale from Jamestown. Coach Maness picked up his 300th career win while the team raised their conference record to 4-1 (6-3 overall). Coach Maness has a 139-19 mark over the last six seasons at ER

Win # 300 was a 5-0 blanking of the Trinity Bulldogs.
