Do you know who started on the mound for FV against Garner?

    Thanks.

Grant Price started pitching 5 shutout innings, striking out 8 and walking 1.

McLaurin pitched the 6th and McIntyre pitched the 7th. It was McIntyre's first outing of the year (pitching behind FV's three seniors). He surrendered the 3 runs to Garner.

Currently ranked the #3 team in the state in 3A competition. This team has been trouncing it's competition all season. They are heavily favored to come out of the east and compete strongly for the state championship.

This is a solid baseball team. They have only allowed 9 runs in 8 games and the team ERA is under 1.00. They have scored 76 runs in the 8 games also.

With that number of runs scored, it's obvious that they have good power throughout the lineup.

They have only committed 7 errors in their 8 games played.

    Record: 8-0 (7-0 in conference)

    Key contributors:
Jay Cox, SS, UNC-Chapel Hill Signee
    Jason Evans, P, Barton Signee

Talking to the folks in the area (NC Coastal area), it seems that everyone is still uncertain just how good Havelock is yet. They haven't faced JH Rose and until then, no one will make any statements.

The consensus is that this is a scrappy bunch of very good ball players, but nothing really outstanding......except their record which remained unblemished last night.

    Havelock 14, N.Nash 4
