Thanks so much, I know this young lady, just did not realize it. She is an amazing player and beat us in the ASA states two years ago with her bat and glove. She got hit in the face by a thrown ball, got right back up and went at it again. Gets dirty, dives, slides, jumps, whatever it takes to get the job done. UNC got a great one, no doubt. I really enjoy watching her play.

Spoke with Ass't. Coach at Chapel Hill (almost gave N. Dividson a suprise in 1st round) who's in this teams conference. She says this is the most awesome player other than a pitcher she's seen this year by far. Seems quite deserving of scholarship offers...

Useless comments

What a Joke?? What does anyone really know about her?? How can anyone even think they have the right to make those comments. Ya'll are the jokes. I guess someone off of CC's team should have won it huh??!!?? That young lady may visit this site often. How will these idiotic comments make her feel. And just when did some of ya'll become the experts. You probably follow your high school team and then your favorite travel team and you think just because you don't know who she is she can't play. Do ya'll frequently visit the eastern part of the state to watch softball??? Well a news flash........UNC doesn't pass out scholarships to just any girl carrying a glove!! I'm sure there are many young ladies that could have been considered for this award and slouches aren't named Gatorade Player of The Year. Thanks to those who new this young lady and gave us some info.....oh yeah and also shed some light for those who seemingly are in the dark most of the time.

Congratulations on being named Gatorade Player of the Year
Quite an accomplishment for a position player.
And yes Virginia, softball is played somewhere outside of Cabbarrus County

CC COMMENTS

How about leaving CC out of the Comments all they have done is WIN since 2000.The players don't need individual awards no one can dispute who is the best TEAM in the state.Contragulation to the Gatorade Player of the year I'm sure she is well deserving of this award.

Why should CC be left out os any comments? They (player or fan don't know which one & don't care) started with the negative comments. If they get bashed then so be it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
