Question: I see that (SOME) representatives of teams take what I see as CREDIT for a player signing to a college or next level after. As if they have got this kid to that point. Is this right??? I mean a player has played and been developed and then some big guy comes by and says I can get you in. Then takes credit!!! I know a good coach does not want credit for it. Be for real !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :book: Your thoughts ????:stirthepot:

I know that showcase teams list players that have signed that had played for them. Obviously, they do this for advertisement. And some organizations like On Deck, were very instrumental in developing a player (but they consider themselves a development program).

I know that South Charlotte Panthers have the same players return year, after year (so they have involvement in development). But most showcase teams don't take credit for a player's development. They take credit for their player's recruitment and rightfully so.

To give you an example: a player could play showcase ball or some other avenue like legion ball and receive very little notice. However, Andy Partin can place one call and ...bam...the kid has phone calls. The same is true for a few others, as well: Jason Hill, Don Hutchins, etc...

So, a program can take credit for one's recruiting, but not necessarily their development. Some of the top HS coaches in the state play a larger role in the development of a player.

I guess that it is those out there. Out of the loop. That believe that if their kid goes and plays or trys out for this team he is in. I guess it can be said that since there is no crying in Baseball. It does not apply to honesty.:flameme:

???..not sure what you mean, but if you have a question of a particular program, please ask the members. There is somebody that has played on every showcase team in this state. Only thing I ask, if you have something negative about a particular program, PM it vs creating arguments.
