I am considering buying my daughter a Nokona AMG175-BF-FP (12" Buffalo) glove. Has anyone had experience with the buffalo leather? She currently uses a 12" Nokona made out of Buckaroo (cowhide and kangaroo). Does the buffalo hold up well? Does it retain it's shape? How about break-in....easy or a challenge. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.....

    Awesome

You cannot go wrong with any Nacona glove. :red_indian:
Will be very easy to break in and should keep its shape.

I wish I had a new one...too expensive just to use for our travel practice....

    Nokona

My daughter is on her sixth year using a Nokona glove, the same one! She played travel ball, school ball, and now colege ball so 100's of games played and it is still in great shape. We simply put vaseline on it several times a year!
My oldest daughter used hers for three years and it still looks brand new.

    Hand Size ???

Usually the 11-1/2" or 12" for infield should suffice for handling ground balls, but your kid may be big framed and can use a longer glove, in general the gloves that exceed over 12" usually are outfielders glove. You see a lot of 13" used in the outfield !!

IMHO 12 is too small for FP 12.5 min. Best if you get the velcro wrist as well which I am not sure comes in pure Buff.... but maybe only in a buf/cow combo. Nokona is the best.. get someone who knows how to break in a glove for you... Nokona says just use it to break it in.. fyi that will take a while. I would not go with the Kangaroo.. its too thin for softball... my son has one.
