Gold Scores from Alabama

Didn't mean to cause

a fuss. Just wanted to make a point as I like to read about all the teams. It seems everyone jumps on the gold issue but I like reading what they are doing as well. I like to read about Simpsonville, Cardinal showcase and the rest this past weekend. There was a question about coaches and the subject went off course and I wanted to read more about it. I guess my point was to stay on the subject. Sorry if I hit a nerve but wanted to hear about the other teams and coaches.

 

It is a fun topic to get everyone going on the ASA Gold deal. My DD actually committed to college before she even new what ASA Gold was. If your kid can play, it does not matter if they are playing in Cow Pens or California. They do how ever need to be playing some where. Email the coaches and they will come.

looking for first

Hey first, you opened the link asking for scores, and then said your wife and DD were there, along with questioning if it's worth it. Not sure where your coming from but yet I may guess your just blowing smoke. what team did you say the DD played for? Still trying to see if your with one of our NC teams or just someone wishing they were. The trip was not as costly as playing anywhere else in NC/SC if you carpool and watch what you buy. Plus My DD said she had a good time, wishing they may had played better, but that story can be said reguardless of the playing area if you don't win the tourney as that is what they all went to do.

...and I;ll drive 13 miles to a gas station, when there is one around the block to say I paid 5 cents less at the pump. Its human nature. Cheeze is right, lots of us are right, on this subject. Traveling has been an absolute pleasure for me and Ldub......other than me screaming all the way home for popping up a 3-0 count pitch, or the notorius "dribble" back to the pitcher! There is big time value to me for the time that I got to spend with my DD. Did it cost $, yep....and me and cheeze, and chacha, and guru, and on and on many, many TBR members have done and would do the same thing again! *****in a past thread, I said that a "remember when thread" was coming to TBR....I think its time.......hearing stories that have played out as our DDs have come up from 10u, will make us all see that be it Tex., or Goldsboro, we, parents and DDs as well, will look back and say...now that was cool!
