    NC Showcase Events - June 4 - 6

While I realize that this is the last weekend for HS baseball in NC. Wanted everybody to be aware of another showcase this weekend in the Greensboro area. Should be some good talent in such a large pool. 24 teams!

Another showcase going on this weekend featuring the Dirtbags, Cubs, Lake Monsters, Yak Baseball, Twisters, Upstate Mavericks, Hitting Zone and my good friends the East Cobb Indians. Some great matchups this weekend.

Lake Monster 17's 5 Dirtbags 4 in rainshortened game Fri. night. (4.2 innings)
Lake Monster 17's 7 Dirtbags 16's 8. Bases loaded bottom 8th,2 out drop dead time ended game.
    Lake Monsters 17's 14 Cubs 16's 11
Lake Monster 17's 7 UpState Mavericks 8 Man on 2nd, 1 out drop dead time ended.

Very well run event and umpires stuck to their word with drop dead time. Hate it ended the way it did for us, but it was understood. Great baseball all weekend!

Played both Legion and travel, and may not always be most popular decision, but nevertheless, great baseball!

The Lake Monsters are for real. They play solid baseball and can hit. Dirtbags were on their heels and worried about the 3rd inning when the Lake Monsters were up. Dirtbags used wood bats but it wouldn't of mattered because they had one hit because Newton was striking them out one after another. Carter hit a 3 run, 355 home run. Lake Monsters had a good defense. Infield made play after play. Taylor had 3 rbi's. for the Lake Monsters.
