Good article about a kid getting a chance

    Corey Walker, 15, of Middle Creek HS is finally getting a chance to play this summer. And it happens to be for the winningest Junior Legion program in State History.

    Perhaps JM15 could chime in here.

    I have yet to see the Cary Bulls play but it sounds like this kid is a must-see.

    What a great story. You know JM15, he'll take all the credit for the kid's development :REDanceBanana008:

    Seriously, this is a great story on so many levels. I'll tell you what, he is a young man that I will follow his career all through HS.

    what a good story!!

    this is why i love TBR...hard work and chance meet..also good and smart coach. good job Walker! I will follow the jr bulls this year..:bulb::2thumbsup:

    It was a very good article, couple or errors in it (must cut roster to 18, etc..) but the storyline about Corey was on point.

    Corey has been great this summer and that's all I will say. What do you guys think I am going to do? He's our secret weapon, our Texas Ranger.

    Corey needs to stay away from the Cary News -- he hit a guy tonight. But still no walks or runs were allowed.

    It shows you what heart and attitude can accomplish. Guys, we win a lot with the Bulls -- but it is stories like this that the program thrives off of. Nobody wanted him so we gave him a shot. At first he was a mascot in someways, but now he is the real deal. At first anything he did was amazing and entertaining, but now it is expected. He still wears rubber cleats and his pickoff move was very... rusty... to begin with because he said he never had to worry with one to much at West Raleigh (last time he played organized ball -- little league). He keeps the mood loose on the team. Guys don't worry about their individual stats when he is around.

    Great kid who never gave up and took a chance. Just goes to show you what throwing strikes will do as well...
