All of the various organizations are starting their nationals about now. The NSA "B" nationals are going on in Rock Hill this week and I believe the USFA is starting theirs this week in Panama City, FL. BTW..Panama City is a great trip for any team...been to 2 nationals there and the kids and me had a great time. The ASA nationals start next week and the WFC play theirs in Myrtle a little later in August. GOOD LUCK to all the teams in whatever Nationals you are playing! Keep us posted on the scores and, above all, have a safe trip.

    ASA Nationals?

Who is representing NC at the ASA "A" Nationals in the various age groups?
I think the following is correct (from TBR posts):

    Gold: Nobody

    18U: Carolina Cobras
Lady Blues - bid from Cobras

    16U: ?
    ?

    14U: Carolina Cardinals
Triangle Lightning - bid from Cardinals

Are there others? Good Luck to ALL!

Last year, NC had four teams at the ASA 18u A Nationals but this yr it looks like just two teams. I thought ASA was growing in NC but is it possible for just sending two teams for the 18's? I know the teams in NC are more than capable of beating and competing with the best of the best. The ASA berths are tough to get so maybe we will get more next yr but to the teams going this yr, BRING HOME THE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!:trophy::trophy::trophy:

    North Carolina softball ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Cary, NC is hosting the PONY 14U Nationals starting Friday 7/25. There are 4 North Carolina teams registered 110 total. My team, Carolina Bombs is looking forward to a great tournament. Other NC teams, Cape Fear Storm(purple), Apex Sting, and NC Dominators. Opening ceremonies on Sunday has Charlie Dobbins as guest speaker.

Didn't the Cape Fear Storm win the PONY National 14U Championship last year?

Yes, North Carolina was well represented last year. Cape Fear Storm(white), Scotty Scarboroughs team beat Pitt County Heartbreakers in the championship game.

    Carolina Cardinals Red 14U

We're heading up to Salem, VA next week to play in the ASA Eastern Nationals.

To prepare, last weekend we played up and played 16U in the Cardinal Classic. We won 1 game and lost 5, but every game we lost was close but one. So we'll see.

I'll let you know how "prepared" we ended up being!
