    Great

I do not know anyone that has given their life for the sport like this guy! What a testament to giving to others unselfishly! Sure he gets to coach a game he loves but he does it free, he does it for the girls, and everything he does proves he cares and wants to make a difference in his players lives. Does not win all the time but provides a positive atmosphere for his players and fans! What more can U ask.

The Rutgers girls basketball coach is another example of giving but not quite to the level of this legend.

I am sure we can all think of many positive influences in our lives!

    LOL

LOL, no coach Sherrill is not that old but I have seen him pulling weeds, sweeping, doing work, etc. for any team he has been a part of. I have also heard stories from members of his community that he offered to waive his salary of coach to put the money back into the program. For a family man to put his passion in front of bills takes commitment! He is the Earnhardt of softball. Folks you either love him, or you hate him! Reguardless of anything else(rumors, bashings) he does put a lot into his teams and his field.

Great story about coach Heck, just made a comparison of a great local coach who does the same (without the age). Peace:REGamblMoney01HL2::peacemanmw:

    batching it

I believe it said that coach Heck was a life-long batchelor.

he's got time then to give all his time, know what I mean? still it's great to see such dedication.
