Took in a legion game last night......the baseball park at South Point HS (Belmont) is really top shelf...not the newest around, but very well maintained and nicely designed. Fresh red & black paint everywhere, lots of nice touches, two-story concession and press box, cool dugouts, nice surface. Lots of hi-grade seating, and some welcome shade in the stands on the first base side. Seating for maybe 800 to 1000 people all around. What really sets it apart is the obvious pride in the facility and its' ongoing maintenance. Also have a really cool three-wheeled, zero-turn infield grooming machine....first part loosens the surface and a wide broom-like device puts down the final finish.

    Other great HS ballparks:

Charlotte Country Day....grass surfaces equal to Quail Hollow fairways, awesome dugouts, backstop netting all around and super inning by inning scoreboard

Charlotte Christian....very cool two story clubhouse with dressing room, sky boxes, press box and coaches office. Not many HS players dress and walk into their dugout without going outside! Also have an infield tarp..

East Meck....great feel, great old school outfield fence, and very energetic supporters

Hough....nicest new ball park I have seen..hard to believe this complex got built (including a small college level FB field) in the midst of severe budget issues at CMS

For a small 2A, East Lincoln has one of the nicest fields in the area. Suroundings might not be that nice, but they put alot of work on the field and it really shows.
