I have recently started viewing the posts here and must say that I have become addicted! I live in Wilmington, NC and been involved with the game since 1997. I have seen most of the teams and players that I have been reading about here. I just wish that we had something like this board here in the east. I am with the Port City Cyclones 16u, here in Wilmington. We just returned from the FAST Nationals in Orlando, FL. The girls were motivated by the rings awarded to the champions and were able to ride that motivation and win the tournament. Most of the players on our team attend Laney High School, one from New Hanover and one from East Duplin High School. Hope you folks don't mind me hanging around!

    Hey bud

This board has replies from all over the world in the different categories that are offered. Just tell all your friends and competitive friends (or foes) and start your own threads to add comment to and keep us informed about fastpitch chatter in your area. Welcome and continue to be a poster not a spectator.

    Bud67..............

as acfan stated.......... WELCOME to TBR Softball! We hope you find it informative and softball-friendly so perhaps you would pass the word about TBR to all our "down east" softball fans......;)

Have you got to see UNC-W play over the last few years?

Congratulations on your sucessful 2003 summer season and keep us posted on your area tournaments. We love results from tournaments, as you mentioned in your post; we(most on TBR Softball) remember players from hs and travel-ball and enjoying following their progress throughout the year!

Do you have a dd who plays Softball? If so, what hs and what year?

    Again welcome aboard!

Remember RF - Tiffany Lindermann, 5'0, 110 lbs, powerful hitter who is their all time leading homerun hitter!

:D I reember her well, I liked to take my DD and have her focus on her style of play. She has as much heart as anyone I have seen play the game. I would love to bottle that heart, you could make a fortune with it. My daughter pitches and plays outfield and is not the biggest kid on the field, I would always show her Tiffany just to prove that it not always, the size of the dog in the fight.......

Exactly................and she is my adopted dd who is from Boiling Springs, NC. She was never recuirted out of hs and walked on there. After the fall season(FR year) was offered a scholarship and earned a double major (drama and communications)degrees to boot. I will never forget when at the tender age of 12, I pulled her from catching and told her she would be in the outfield to help the team...............she cried and cried but never looked back. She actually caught some her freshman year there but all-conference outfield status would follow. She also is one of the smartest baserunners to come out of NC and as you mentioned, the heart it takes to be an outstanding player!

Good luck to your dd on pitching and outfield as its yearround now as you know and its the dedication of people like yourself and dd that make softball the sport it is.

Is your team going to play in Florence (sept 6-7)?
