Great USSSA tournament

We don't play a lot of USSSA tournaments, but attended a good one this past weekend up in Marion hosted by Jamie Brown. The games were run on time, there was plenty of room to warm up, and the calls were consistant accoss the board regardless of the official. Even the food was outstanding with a grill running constantly that was better than you'd expect at a local restaurant and much cheaper. It was so good, they ran out twice and the concession stand had to make a supply run.

In addition, it's an inexpensive play to play. Entry fees have run $200 or less so it's an easy tournament to add if you need to pick up another tournament for any reason. You may want to check out their schedule as they run tournaments pretty deep into the Fall.

I will wholeheartedly back up your statement here. We have been there twice this year, and had a great experience both times. It's an easy trip for us, and the competition has been good, the umpires great, and Jamie is just wonderful to deal with.

We have played a USSSA tourney in Sumter, SC and it also was a good experience all around.

 

I don't have much experience with tournament play, but I can say everything about the weekend at Marion was positive. Organization, concessions, officials, facility, caliber of teams, etc., etc., etc. Double thumbs up!! It was a good experience for all the young ladies who participated!!
