    The Award Winners from Last Nights Greater Charlottte hot Stove League Awards Dinner.




    Youth Softball Player of the Year: Elena Covert, Youth Baseball Player of the Year: Nick Salisbury, York County Baseball Player of the Year: Seth Neely, Grand Slam Award: Charlotte Megastars 13U Team,

    Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Steven Hummell, Team of the Year: Ardrey Kell High School Baseball, High School Softball Player of the Year: Kalie Lang,

    Kelly Athletic High School Baseball Player of the Year: Tyler Tewell


    All the finalist are winners in my book so congratulations to all. There were some neat announcements made and I hope everyone had a great time. This is a labor of love and I am sad that it will be another year until we can meet again.

    I will post much more later, but I wanted to say Thanks to the Sold Out crowd we had last night.

    Congratulations to all the winners, and especially to Kalie Lang being named HS softball player of the year. I know Larry and the family are very proud of Kalie.

    Kalie is a hard nosed player with a great bat and power. She will excel this spring and summer.

    Congratulations Kalie. This is a great young lady and first class individual. I love the way you smile when you play. You are first rate and we are all proud of you. Good luck this year and extremely happy for you.

    Congrats to Kalie!

    Hey Ms. Kalie. Congratulations on receiving this great honor. You are truly a first class player, but more importantly a first class individual. You take the game serious, but you always carry that great smile with you wherever you go. Northwest Florida State College is getting a stud! I know some big time offers are coming at you down the road in a year or two.

    Hope you have a great HS season at AK this year. Can't wait to see you ripping balls into the gaps, as well as over the fence this coming summer with the Lady Blues. (I'm sure you are going to be striking out a lot of opposing hitters as well.) Gonna be a blast!!!!!!

    Larry, you and Lori have done a great job in raising such an outstanding young lady. I know you are extremely proud of her.

    Way to go Kalie!!! Now all we need to do is make sure we have some bats around you at AK so you can do your thing! Congratulations.

    Shamrocks

    I didn't see Kalie on the Shamrocks roster who is she playing for this summer? She did really well this past fall when we got to watch her.
