Many thanks to everyone that helped to make the event a sold out success. I hope those that attended the event had a great time.

We raised a little money, honored a lot of student-athletes and continued to build what someone said last night was, "The nicest Hot Stove Dinner around" I am sure that's debatable, but we sure do try hard to make it nice for the kids.

Each year, I learn something new and try to apply it the next season to continue to improve on the evening.

    Quick recap of winners

HS Player of the Year - Brian Holberton

Pitcher of the Year - Ryan Butler

HS Team of the Year Charlotte Christian

Scholar Athlete of the year - Alex Baker and Grant Fisher

Travel Team of the Year - Lake Norman Wildcats

Youth Team of the Year - Community House MIddle School

York County Player of the year Brad Zebedis

Comeback Player of the Year - Ben Boykin

Lou Presutti Contributions to the game award - Mike Shildt

Youth Player of the Year Daniel Calabretta

HS Softball Player of the Year Jen Rosene

Youth Softball Player of the Year Peyton Jordan

As stated the entire time,,, these awards are incredibly hard to choose winners for and every single finalists was worthy of taking home the hardware,,, someone has to win, otherwise you dont need to do the events. In MY EYES, every finalists is a winner otherwise they would not have been selected.

thanks to all that participated in this special night of baseball and softball

Congratulations on a Great Event !

Tripp and the folks at CBC have outdone themselves again. I have been fortunate enough to attend all three of these Hot Stove Dinners, and they just keep getting better and better.

Thanks to everyone who put in the enormous amount of work this took to make a truly great night. This has become one of those annual events you look forward to every year - well done !

Congratulations to Tripp Roakes and Jeff Schaefer...the Hot Stove League dinner is a unique gathering of players, coaches, families and others who have given so much and received even more from the great games of baseball and softball. The food was great, the awards were well presented, the auction items were fantastic, and some important charities were supported.....it was nice to see the players in nice shirts and ties, too!
