The 4th Annual Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Dinner is just around the corner. Our annual gathering of the baseball and softball community will be held on February 5th at 7:00pm at Carolinas Baseball Center. Last year a sellout crowd of over 450 gathered to watch 12 unique baseball and softball awards be presented to the top players in the Greater Charlotte area. UNC Chapel Hill Head Baseball Coach Mike Fox addressed the crowd along with Peace College Softball Coach Charlie Dobbins. Our largest crowd ever also enjoyed a wonderful auction, great food and more importantly a wonderful time with other baseball and softball families in the area.

This year we are so very excited to bring Charlotte native Mike Shildt back home to deliver a powerful message. Coach Shildt is the Director of Spring Training for the St. Louis Cardinals as well as the Manager of the Johnson City Cardinals. He is one of the most respected baseball minds to ever come out of this area. Mike has worked with the very best players in baseball and he will offer some words of wisdom to all the young baseball and softball players in the area.

Also new for 2011, we are proud to announce our most affordable ticket pricing in the history of the event. Tickets this year are only $40 for adults and $35 for students. We are also offering a Family Four Pack of Tickets for just $135. Sponsor Tables this year are only $400 and include a special guest with your table of 8. To order tickets today, please visit www.hotstovedinner.com We have tightened up the evening, reduced the speakers time and placed even more emphasis on the kids and the awards. Our auction will be even larger than last year! It's going to be another special night for our area!

The nominations are now open for all 12 of the awards to be presented. Nominations will close on December 15th, so take a look at these awards and send in your nominations now. Anyone may nominate a player or team.
    To make a nomination(s) please visit http://hotstovedinner.com/awards/index.html

Here are the awards we will present along with the names of last years winners:

Unless you have been to one of the previous three dinners, it's very hard to explain how special of a night this really is. If you feel like you are in tune with Charlotte baseball and softball, then you need to add this event to your schedule. Your children will really enjoy this special opportunity to be with this special crowd of people. It's the one night a year, when the politics of baseball dissapear and we take the time to honor how special of a community we have here in the Greater Charlotte Area. Take a look around the website www.hotstovedinner.com This will give you more information and allow you to learn exactly why you don't want to miss the evening.

Thanks again for your time, get those nominations in and purchase your tickets today!
