    AWARD FINALISTS NAMED FOR 3RD ANNUAL
    GREATER CHARLOTTE HOT STOVE LEAGUE DINNER

    Excitement is building for the 3rd Annual Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Awards Dinner. This first class night to celebrate the growth of
    youthbaseball and softball is set for January 23rd inside the 50,000 square foot Carolinas Baseball Center facility.

    UNC Tar Heels Head Coach MikeFox is set to address over 500 guests on this special evening. In addition to Coach Fox, Peace College Head Softball Coach Charlie Dobbins will be on hand, along with over a dozen current major and minor league baseball players.

    Twelve youth baseball and softball awards will be presented to some of the top student-athletes in the Greater Charlotte area. Please join us in
    congratulating these award finalists, chosen from a group of over 350 nominated players and teams.

    Nice to see recognition for scholar athletes...those who really know about hard work and extra effort

    Blue -- One thing we are starting this year is to award the scholar athlete winner with some scholarship money. Our long range goal is to begin to build a scholarship endowment so that we can give more and more each year.

    That would be great....certainly talented athletes know about hard work and extra effort, but the athlete who carries that work ethic into the classroom is a special young person, worthy of the special recognition you are providing.
