Greenville 15u Babe Ruth Wins Southeast Regional...

Greenville Babe Ruth 15u All Stars have made a run through district, state and now the Southeast Regional, defeating Western NC (Union County) to advance to the World Series in Monticello Arkansas.

Greenville went 5-0 in the Regional....while outscoring it's opponents 64-18.

Awesome. Congrats! When I was asking around about the Coastal Plains 18U and 16U teams, i kept hearing how good the 15's were that were coming up.

Good Luck to the guys as they are in route to arkansas tonight. Not the most ideal travel arrangements by babe ruth, but the guys are excited. The guys left rdu tonight around 6 pm. They fly to Chicagio and then back down to Litttle Rock Ark. They will arrive in Little Rock around 11:15 tonight. From there they must bus over to Monticello, check in, meet host familys and go to a strange place. Should arrive around 2:30 am. Greenville is scheduled for the first pool play game tomm. at 2:00 pm.

At the World Series in Arkansas Thursday, defeated Arkansas in Game 1. This after a long day/night of travel, finally arrivning at their host family homes around 2:30 AM.

Beat White Hall Ark. (SWest regional champs) 6-4
Took a 3-0 lead early after a David Paylor 2 rbi single and a Dalton Britt 1b.
Ark tied it at 3-3 on a couple greenvile errors and took a 4-3 lead after 5.
In the top of the 6th Gray Dixon tied it at 4 with a solo home run. In the top of 7th Jeneil House 2 rbi single gave Greenville the 6-4 lead. Jarrett Ozimek pitched all 7 for the win. Good job guys. Get some much needed rest and good luck tomm. Greenville plays babe ruth world series regular Kelso Washington at 12:30 central time.

Greenville goes to 2-0 in pool play with a 5-3 win over Pacfic NW champ Kelso Washington. Greenville scored one in the first after couple walks and a 1b. In the second greenville added four, the big hit a Kyle Cross 2 rbi 1b. To go up 5-0. Kelso addeds two in the bottom of the second. Could have been more put greenville turned a nice dp on a roller to 2nd. Greenville stranded several in scoring postion over the next couple of innings. Bottom of 5 Kelso adds another to close it to 5-3. In the 6th greenville loads the bases with 2,3,4 at bat and do not score. In the top of 7th gville gets a triple with one out but leave him also. Winning pitcher was Devan Lee 7 IP 6 hits 3 runs. Greenville plays tomm. night at 8 pm vs Seabrook Ark. The two teams Greenville has to play in pool play Seabrook and Bryant play tonight at 6:30.

 

Greenville goes to 3-0 in pool play and guarntes a spot in tournament play. Greenville defeats Pine Bluff Seagroves Arkansas 10-1. Bottom of first Dalton Britt 1b, CJ Ebron 1b, Jeneil House Sac fly. Gray Dixon 1b. 2-0 after 1. Greenville addes three in the second on a couple hits and couple passed balls. Lead 5-0 after two innings. Top of 3rd Seabrook scores one off a hbp, e, bb. 5-1 . After 2 and half. Bottom of three Greenville adds 3. The big hit a Jeneil House 2 rbi single. Up 8-1 after three. In the fifth greenville adds two more. Up 10-1 after 5. Final 10-1. Gray Dixon 5 Innings pitched 8 ks. Johnson Little pitchs the final two innings k ing 3. Greenville gets 2 days off before finishing pool play vs Bryant Arkansas at 8 pm Tuesday. Greenville is guarnted a tournament slot on Wed. or Thursday.

 

Greenville loses final pool play game VS Bryant Arkansas 13-12. Sorry lost play by play off my phone. Greenville fell behind 8 - 0 in the top of the first. They gave up 8 runs on 5 or 6 hits and 3 errors. They got a leadoff b1 home run from Dalton Britt. Down 8-1. Added one or two each inning thru 4 to cut it to 9-7 after 4. Down 11-7 they got 2 more to make it 11-9. Bryant added two in the top of the 7th on a error to make it 13-9. Greenville did not give up getting 3 in the bottom to cut it to 13-12. Dalton Britt another home run ( 2 run) was the big hit. After falling behind Greenville did save some pitching and are fresh going into the single elimantion tournament. Greenville finished pool play 3-1 and will play at 830 tomm night. The opponent is tbd bc of a makeup game still to be played. The other bracket could finish with four teams at 2-2. Guys way to battle back. Get some rest and stay together. Tomm. is a new day.
