Jester I Feel Your Pain !!!

Coaches are never truly appreciated at any time unless they are winning, and that is so sad !!! I help coach a promininant organization for about 5 years, and during that time frame was part of a team that won 5 states and 1 world, and still never felt appreciated, but it's like Charlie said the fun and friends that I made were worth every thing I encountered !!! So now I'm just a parent on the other side of the fence,and enjoying my DD's last few high school years watching her play !!

Checking thru the board today. I appreciate the kind words and advice. Charlie, your words meant alot. I have a lot of respect for you. Your avatar was on the window of my truck for a long time. Got it from Rich Hoppe the last time I played him. Mike, for someone of your caliber to acknowledge me and the program I was trying to build, tells me 2 things, 1st you are the wonderful person I thought you were and 2nd I must have been doing SOMETHING right. Thanks, you'll always be a friend. I explained to my girls that they will have many coaches thru out their athletic careers and that I was just another block in the foundation. They understood that I want to spend more time with my DD and son. They understand (I hope) that they did nothing wrong it was just time for me to focus on other things. I told them 'I may not have enjoyed every minute of coaching, but I sure loved every day'. Y'all keep your eyes open for my DD in the next coupla years, I've just spent 6 days in a row 'on the bucket'! LOL Best wishes to all.
