Harnett Central Wins Spring Break Tournament

    There was some great softball action on Friday.
    Harnett Central beat a very good 1A Midway HS 9-3 in opening game.
    Jessie Lane(WP) had 2 Ks, 6 hits
    Lauren Smith(LP) had 3 Ks, 7 hits

    Triton won over CB Aycock 1-0 in an 8 inning thriller.
    Candice Faircloth(WP) 12 Ks, 2 hits
    Autumn Pittman(LP) 7 Ks, 5 hits

    Triton won over Midway 3-1.
    Candice Faircloth(WP) 6 Ks, 9 hits
    Whitney Johnson(LP) 7 Ks, 5 Hits

    Harnett Central won over CB Aycock 7-0
    Mary Katherine Pegram(WP) stats?
    Autumn Pittman(LP)

    CB Aycock won over Midway 9-6
    Autumn Pittman(WP) 2 Ks, 11 hits
    Morgan Warren(LP) 5 Ks, 15 hits

    Harnett Central Won over Triton 11-0
    Emma Cotton(WP) 3 Ks, 2 hits
    Candice Faircloth (LP) 4 Ks, 9 hits
    Emma also hit a homerun showing she can bring it on offense too.

    On a side note our local paper reported Toni Ann Williford has a .686 season and .833 conference batting average. I'm sure some of you will say "cooked books" but truth is this young lady gets the job done.
